About the event
Explore the majestic and spectacular geology of Redfish Lake and Canyon in the scenic Sawtooth Mountains of central Idaho. We will explore effects of the recent 2020 earthquake, glaciation, the Sawtooth pluton, and more. Trip includes a round-trip boat shuttle across Redfish Lake and a ~3.5 mile (round trip) hike up the canyon with a total elevation gain of 700 feet. Bring your own lunch, snacks, and water. Please dress for a variety of weather conditions and bring plenty of water. No dogs please.
