About Me

I am a geology professor at College of Southern Idaho, author of "Geology Underfoot in Southern Idaho" and co-author of "Roadside Geology of Idaho".

I earned my B.S. in Geology from Weber State University and my M.S. in Geology from Northern Arizona University. I have led student and community geology trips all over the western U.S., Hawai'i, Scotland, and Iceland.

 

I love exploring the earth's rocks and landscapes and sharing these stories with others. I post a variety of engaging videos to my YouTube channel to help folks understand the geology from various locations in and throughout the western United States and beyond.
